It’s been said that every happy poem has a single silver thread running through it, and every sad poem has a single golden one. See You On The Styx speaks to the quest to find the gold thread buried within oneself. This collection of songs follows an unspooling of the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves in an attempt to weave a new one. With references to the four elements and Greek mythology, introspective lyrics by Candace Kronen explore themes of loss, desire, and self-discovery. Swirling vocal tracks by Candace and Rob Kronen, each reflecting a different inner voice on a journey inward, unfold against a backdrop of dark folk instrumental layers arranged and performed by Rob (guitar, bass, keyboards, piano, banjo, and synth). Drums, cover art, and mastering for this project were provided by Kevin Stevens. See You On The Styx explores the link between our inner lives and the natural world around us while inviting the listener to reflect on their own self-narratives…and maybe create a brand-new one.
